Welcome to Cygnet's Nest early years care and education, and Monaghan Waldorf School – a small independent school and kindergarten in the heart of County Monaghan.
We provide a warm, nurturing education where children are known as individuals, develop strong academic foundations and experience the joy of learning through creativity, nature, practical activities and meaningful relationships.
Waldorf education allows children the space and freedom to grow into the well-rounded adults they deserve to be. Our aim is to create a love of learning that will last a lifetime and we do this by working with the natural phases a child will go through, rather than rushing them through a rigorous academic schedule. This means at every age, our students are able to explore developmentally-appropriate curriculum that offers ample opportunity to be creative through hands-on activities.
Pre-school kindergarten hours and fees
Cygnet's Nest is open 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Monday to Friday during term time. We offer ECCE from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm with NCS available from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Kindergarten & primary school enrolment
We are delighted to be able to welcome new children to our school. Enrolment forms can be downloaded below, and sent in to the school via email (info@monaghanwaldorfschool.ie) or posted to:

Acceptance is subject to available places, staffing capacity and suitability of the environment for each child’s particular needs. In cases where we cannot safely or adequately support certain levels of developmental delay or special support needs, we reserve the right to delay enrolment until additional supports are available.
